Background

I am currently pursuing the 5-year BS-MS dual degree program at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune, India. I have dabbled in a variety of short-term projects such as studying the ecology of plants in the Western Ghats of India, trying to find the function of GTPase activating proteins in Drosophila oogenesis, studying antibiotic resistance evolution in E. coli and learning bioinformatics techniques for analysing gut microbial samples. Having completed four years of coursework, I am now doing my final year Masters thesis project on identifying the the function and interaction of proteins involved in determining cell shape of P. fluorescens SBW25 using molecular genetics and experimental evolution.
